Brief

GPEG are one of the fastest growing tech companies in the UK, holding 9th place in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 list. A key factor in their impressive growth is a significant investment in digital marketing as a driver for new business leads and sales enquiries.

Outbound marketing activity consisted of a substantial budget being directed at Search Engine Optimisation and Google Pay per Click campaigns, which were both managed by separate agencies, as well as email marketing by their in-house team. In order to improve efficiencies for the long term, GPEG sought a single agency to consolidate the management of their cross media marketing.

In addition, the appointed B2B agency would be responsible for re-designing and developing a new website. Particular consideration should be given to the wealth of historic metrics, ensuring the site was designed as an effective user centric resource for lead generation.

Solution

A complete website audit was carried out, from both a User Experience and Search Engine Optimisation perspective, prior to re-development. Designed to enable target users to quickly and easily access GPEG’s extensive Product Catalogue, data capture mechanisms were clearly placed throughout the site. When user data was captured, it was fed into a CRM and alerts emailed to GPEG’s internal sales team for immediate action.

To drive traffic to the new site, we took over the management of GPEG’s SEO and Google Pay per Click campaigns. Key Performance Indicators were put in-place to enable effectiveness to be measured and areas for improvement pinpointed. This resulted in improved campaign click through rates and Adwords Quality Scores, while also reducing bid costs.

Our SEO strategy was based on optimising for keywords where a first page index position was achievable. Competitiveness of converting keywords were examined, landing pages optimised and a link building campaign planned in partnership with GPEG’s PR agency.
